My dad is a third-generation coal miner, and my mom is a school teacher. I am extremely proud of my mountain heritage. The first thing I ever remember loving was Bo Duke. The second and lasting love of my life is music. When I was fifteen my dad taught me how to play “Mama Tried” on his old guitar, and that lit a fire in me that burns to this day. I moved to Nashville in 2000 and got signed to a publishing deal nine short months later. I have been blessed to work with Nashville’s finest, including Ashley Monroe. We met through our publishers and clicked immediately. Ashley later introduced Miranda Lambert to my music. Miranda asked me to come hang out, and before I knew it we were all in the studio making a record together. Miranda, Ashley, and I have an amazing creative chemistry and unbelievable friendship. The Offspring
The Offspring is a punk rock band formed in Huntington Beach, California, United States in 1984. Fozzy
Fozzy is a heavy metal band, fronted by professional wrestler Chris Jericho , and also including musicians from Stuck Mojo and on their recent album, guests from other established metal bands. Fozzy started out as Fozzy Osbourne, a cover band assembled by Rich Ward from whatever musicians he could find on a given week. In 1999, Jericho met Ward in San Antonio after a wrestling show, and was invited to play with the band. Jericho sat in on a few sessions, but did not plan to play with them permanently.

Nickelback is a rock band which formed in Hanna, Alberta, Canada in 1995. The band consists of Chad Kroeger (vocals, guitar), Ryan Peake (guitar, vocals), Mike Kroeger (bass) and Daniel Adair (drums). The band’s original drummer, Brandon Kroeger, left the group in 1997, and was replaced first by Mitch Guidon from 1997 to 1998 and then Ryan Vikedal from 1998 to 2005. The band has released seven albums: "Curb" (1996), "The State" (1998), "Silver Side Up" (2001), "The Long Road" (2003), "All the Right Reasons", "Dark Horse" (2008) and "Here and Now" (2011).

Steely Dan is an American jazz rock band which formed in 1972. The band was formed by Donald Fagen (vocals, keyboards) and Walter Becker (guitar, bass), who met in 1967 while both attended Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, and began a songwriting partnership shortly thereafter. Their music is characterized by dark, witty lyrical narratives, obscure lyrical allusions and complex, jazz-influenced instrumentation and chord sequences, overlying more ordinary popular song structures.
